

PEROJ is a small village in Istria 12 km from Pula and only 2 km from picturesque Fažana. A magnificent view of the Brijuni National Park. It is known for its production of virgin olive oil, one of the best in the world. After being depopulated by the Black Death in 1561, a period of 1578th to 1657th, Venice settled in Peroj 13Greek Orthodox families from Montenegro.Today's residents of Peroj descendants are exactly those families. The construction of the parish Orthodox Church with all the typical characteristics of Eastern Orthodox churches, completed in 1834.
